A video guestbook gathers more as the evening goes on. Here is how Memory Mic fits into a Toronto or GTA wedding day, and what to decide before you book.
Where the booth goes
Near the bar or the reception entrance, where guests pass naturally. Not in a separate room or behind the DJ. The booth needs the floor space of a cocktail table, plus room for the backdrop and stanchions where space allows, and one standard outlet. Your planner or venue coordinator chooses the spot, and we set up before guests arrive.
When guests use it
Cocktail hour brings polished, heartfelt messages. The break between dinner and dancing brings the stories. After the speeches, guests who did not speak take their turn. The booth is self-serve all evening and captures all three.
What to tell your guests
Very little. A brief announcement from the MC after dinner directing guests to the booth increases participation, and a small sign on the booth does the rest. There is no need to mention it on the invitation.
What you receive, and when
Within days, a private link to your gallery. Every message is its own video to watch, download and share. The gallery stays online for three months, longer on request, and every download is yours to keep.
Questions about this
- How many hours is the booth there?
- The whole reception. Pricing is per event, not per hour, from before your guests arrive until we pack down at the end.
- Does someone from Memory Mic stay for the wedding?
- We set up and pack down in person. During the reception the booth is self-serve: guests pick up the mic, tap record and speak. There is nothing to operate.
- Can we play the videos at the wedding?
- The videos are delivered after the event, for anniversaries, thank-you notes and family who could not attend.
